Overview
GHRP-2 (Growth Hormone-Releasing Peptide 2, also known as Pralmorelin) is a synthetic hexapeptide that stimulates GH secretion by acting as a ghrelin receptor agonist. It produces robust, dose-dependent GH pulses and is one of the most potent members of the GHRP family.
Mechanism of Action
GHRP-2 binds to the growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHSR-1a) in the pituitary gland, triggering GH release. It also antagonizes somatostatin, further amplifying GH output. Unlike ipamorelin, GHRP-2 modestly elevates cortisol and prolactin levels at higher doses.
