Overview

CJC-1295 DAC is a modified GHRH analogue incorporating a Drug Affinity Complex (DAC) that enables covalent binding to plasma albumin in vivo. This modification extends its biological half-life from minutes to approximately 6–8 days, allowing weekly or bi-weekly dosing for sustained GH and IGF-1 elevation.

Mechanism of Action

CJC-1295 DAC activates GHRH receptors on pituitary somatotrophs to stimulate GH release. A maleimido-propionic acid DAC linker forms a covalent bond with albumin via Michael addition to cysteine residues, dramatically extending circulating half-life. This produces blunted but sustained elevation of GH and IGF-1 over days.
